A descoberta e o desespero

"The more thoughtful and intelligent the person, the deeper their scrutiny of life, and therefore the more they are subject to despair. Despair is what the Buddha called the First Noble Truth, the realization of the human plight. No political platform or social action can ultimately solve our problem: what will happen to me when I die? Where will I be, how can I endure being nothing forever? Our planet floats in a milky way of worlds in infinite time. What can possibly be the point of my life?"
